Rare Book Collection

The rare book collection at Princeton Theological Seminary’s Wright Library is comprised of more than 100,000 printed books and pamphlets. While the majority of titles come from the 18th and 19th centuries, the collection includes a number of early printed books and a variety of titles reflecting the history of theological and biblical study from the 15th century to present-day. Among the most significant areas of the collection are:

  • Pre-1500 Printed Books (Incunabula)
  • Hymnals and hymnology (including the Benson Collection)
  • Bibles and Biblical commentary
  • Early Reformation texts
  • American Religious Pamphlets (including the Sprague Collection)
  • Puritan Literature Collection
  • 18th Century religious imprints
  • Protestant and Presbyterian Christianity
  • Missionary publications (including the Moffett Korea Collection)
  • Dutch Reformed Theology
  • Latin American theology
